Window Disk Cleanup is very useful tool to increase the performance of your system. You can increase also the free space on the hard disk, because Disk Cleanup utility searches many unnecessary programs and files on your hard drive that you can delete. It also help in removing Dangling references.

you don't need CCleaner or Wise Disk Cleanup to delete your temporary files.

For eg..

Delete the Recycle Bin items

Delete the windows temporary files


Delete the Web Client or Publisher Temporary files.

Delete the old windows programs that you are not using. And so on.

To run the Disk cleanup utility follows the given steps:

1. Open my computer and right click on C drive and then properties.

2. Select GENERAL tab and click on Disk Cleanup.

3. Small window will appear and select Diskcleanup tab.

4. Check all the files using scroll. Donot worry all files are temporary ,it will not harm your system.

5. click ok and confirmation box will appear  and click on yes and diskcleanup process will start.

Defragment is a process to manage your system memory or to increase the memory access rate.

To Defragment , do follow this steps ::

1. Right click on the c drive , select tools tab and then defragment option.

2. Disk defragmenter window will appear.

3. Just select the drive whether c or d or e or f and click on the defragment button to start the process. It is recommended to do this process for C drive as program are installed and removed from this drive.
