How to Upload Files to an Ftp Server

Steps1

  1. Find out the "URL" of the FTP Server that you want to upload to, for example;ftp://example.example.com

  2. 2
Go into "My Computer" and right-click on some empty space. "Click Add Network Location". If this isn't there, go to step 9.

  3. 3
A setup wizard should pop up. Click the next button.

  4. 4
Select the "Custom Network Location" button and click next.

  5. 5
Type the link from before (ftp://example.example.com)

  6. 6
If this is a non-passworded FTP, then tick the "sign in anonymously" box. If you need a username and password uncheck this, and type in your username.

  7. 7
Then type a name for the location (it could be "Example Server" or something)

  8. 8
Click next and finish, and it should work. It might prompt you for your password; if so type this in and press enter.

'Add Network Location' Solution

  1. 1
In the location bar (that says something like "C:/Users/Example), type in the FTP address from before (ftp://example.example.com).

  2. 2
It might prompt you to log in, in which case put in the appropriate username and password.
