Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Review
The Galaxy Note 3 has a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a 1920x1080 pixel resolution. It is powered by Exynos Octa 5420 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM and runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS. It has 32GB built-in storage expandable via a microSD card slot; a 13MP rear camera with BSI sensor and LED flash as well as a 2MP front camera for video calling.
If you are in the market to pick up a large screen smartphone (larger than 5.5-inches) with some impressive specifications and a lot of preloaded apps and features, the Galaxy Note 3 is a very good pick, especially if you're enamoured by the apps and potential of the S-Pen. However, if all you're looking for is a large display, then we would advise you pick up the Sony Xperia Z Ultra. The LG Optimus G Pro is another alternative worth considering, if the above two don't entice you. Both the G Pro and the Z Ultra pack some impressive hardware with the Z Ultra boasting of weather-proof capabilities as well.

Sony Xperia Z Ultra
This is undoubtedly the most powerful smartphone that money can buy today, full credit to the Snapdragon 800 processor. However, the huge screen does have its fans, and equally the critics. While we believe the size aspect is subjective, we would definitely complement the display for doing the job fairly well - bright and sharp. Build quality is carried forward from the Xperia Z. In a nutshell, this smartphone will appeal to a limited demographic, and within that, it does the job.

LG Optimus G Pro
If you're looking for a smartphone with a larger display than what the flagships offer, then the LG Optimus G Pro is the phone you should buy. On it's own too, the LG Optimus G Pro is a quality product and a very good buy. If you were considering the Optimus as your next buy, go for it. However, when put in the company of the HTC One and the Samsung Galaxy S4 and taking into account its current price-tag, the LG Optimus G Pro comes in third. This is mainly because the Optimus doesn't offer the same design and premium factor of the more expensive One and is more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy S4.

Lenovo IdeaPhone K900
An imposing phone, the K900 sports an impressive build, a great display, solid performance, and rather decent camera. For what is Intel's first serious attempt at the high-end smartphone market, currently dominated by Qualcomm's Snapdragon series of processors, this is a rather good beginning. However, heating issues need to be sorted quickly, if the IdeaPhone K900 is any indication.

Huawei Ascend Mate
For Rs. 24,900 you get some pretty good specifications under the hood of the Ascend Mate and a really large display. For the same price you get some really great performing devices such as the Nexus 4, Samsung Galaxy S3 and more. What the Ascend Mate brings to the table is a really large display that's good for running multimedia content and playing games but considering the size of the device we wish the resolution were higher than 720p. The camera on the phone is lacklustre. You can consider picking up the Mate if a large display is mandatory for you, and you don't mind using a new UI. It's a better option than the Galaxy Mega 5.8 as well, if you are looking for performance and not familiarity.

Micromax Canvas Doodle 2 A240
The overall build of the Canvas Doodle 2 is good and I am impressed with the aluminum back. In its performance however the device falls short. You will lose the stylus, as there is no way to keep it with the phone. There aren't any apps out there that exploit it as we have seen on the Galaxy Note series of devices from Samsung. If you want a large screen device for browsing the web, playing games and reading, you can consider this device. If pure performance is what you are looking for, then there are other devices out there for you to consider.

Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 Review
It's difficult to recommend the Galaxy Mega 5.8. To start with you get better specifications from the Huawei Ascend Mate for the same price. Sure, the Mega 5.8 has a good camera; works well as a phone, and features Samsung shenanigans. However, the display and build of the device feel lacklustre when compared to the competition. If you want a device with a really large display that isn't the Galaxy Note II, you should consider the Galaxy Mega 6.3 or the Ascend Mate. If you want a powerhouse of a smartphone for Rs. 25K, there are better options out there.
