How To Split Files using WinRar

Most of the Time we ran out of Space In our Pendrives while Copying games or huge files. Inorder to overcome such issues we can use WinRar which can split files in to some standard size so that we can reduce the size of a single file.

Here I have given the steps to Split a single folder or file into small part files.

Step 1: Select the Folder or File and Right click on it and select Add to Archive.

Note : You must have installed WinRar inorder to split files using these steps.

Step 2: Now in the General tab you will split to volumes, size option.

Select desired file size. For most of the cases select 700MB and click OK.

Step 3: Once It has been complete it will be named with file of folder name with the Parts Number.

I have splitted a 1GB file and hece there are two files. The Number of parts increase with the file size.

Step 4: Now Inorder to extract into the single file or folder you have splitted select the splitted files using ctrl. and Right click on it and click on Extract files option and click Ok.
